Hello! My name is Lauren and along with being a wife and blogger, I am an interior designer. My education in design began at a young age with my parents in design fields. Growing up in Arizona, I travelled to Mexico frequently where I began to appreciate how ethnic pieces could be incorporated into the home. “Integrating antiques and heirloom pieces gives a home its connection to its owner. These are pieces that have a story. I find nothing better than showing a client a modern perspective on how they can be used in the designs I create.” By mixing pattern, color and texture, the environments I create have a longevity and eclectic sophistication that clients seek. With this blog, I hope to share a chic perspective on how you can make your house a home.
Sorry for the huge lapse in posts. With both sets of parents in town, along with a close friend of my husband's, our house has been a little busy. While catching up with some my favorite websites, I came across some beautiful images from one of my favorite West coast designers, Dan Marty. It's been quite a while since I have been able to visit his unique & beautiful store in La Cienega, but thankfully his facebook page has some current photos. Let's take a look at some of Dan's vignettes and images from his amazing home! Don't you love how natural and comfortable everything looks?
I'm not going to lie.... I kind of want to move in with Dan!
